PIXIES (Black Francis, Joey Santiago, David Lovering and Paz Lenchantin) have announced a new
headline tour across Europe and the UK in February and March 2023. The twenty-date tour follows the band’s extensive ten-week outing in Europe over the Summer of 2022 including their massive sets at British Summer Time in Hyde Park London, Castlefield Bowl in Manchester and Mad Cool Festival in Madrid. The 2023 tour kicks-off at Stockholm’s Cirkus on February 21 and sees the four-piece visit: Oslo, Copenhagen, Berlin, Hamburg, Munich, Groningen, The Hague, Utrecht, Brussels, Barcelona, Madrid, Galicia, Lisbon, two nights in Paris, Birmingham and Cardiff before finishing the run with two shows at London’s Roundhou se on March 20 & 21.

Pixies are renowned for their emphatic live performances – their live sets regularly rack up to 30+ songs played – made even more impressive by the fact that there are no pre-planned setlists or soundchecks before the band walk onto the stage to play – ensuring that each performance is a truly unique and memorable occasion. The tour follows the release of the band’s new album Doggerel – out on September 30 via BMG’s Infectious label.

Doggerel is a mature yet visceral record of gruesome folk, ballroom pop and brutal rock, haunted by the ghosts of affairs and indulgences, driven wild by cosmic forces and envisioning digital afterlives where no God has provided one. And all the while, right there on the news, another distant storm approaches.
